S THE INITIATION OF
MALIK DINAR After studying for years the great philosophical problems , Malik
Dinar feel that the time had come to leave in search of knowledge. "I will
go in search of the Hidden Master , which also says that yes it is in the
deepest of themselves ." he told himself.
He left his home carrying only a few dates as provided , and on the dusty road he met a dervish who was walking slowly. Dinar beside him and walked on together in silence. At last the dervish spoke: " Who are you, and where are you going ? ' . "I'm Dinar and I embarked on a journey in search of the Master Hidden.
"I am El -Malik El- Fatih and walk with you ," said the Dervish .
"You want to help me find a teacher ," he asked Dinar .
" Can I help you, you help me? " Asked El- Fatih in that annoying way that characterizes the dervishes of all time . " It is said that the Master is tucked away inside themselves . Find it depends on what you experience. It is something that a partner can transmit only partially . "
Some time later they ran into a tree swayed and creaked . The dervish stopped, stood for a moment in silence, then turned to Dinar : " This tree is telling us, " There is something that hurts me , stop for a moment and Get it off from the trunk , so that I can finally rest . "
" I have no time ," replied Dinar , " and, anyway , how can a tree to talk about? " .
And walked on . They had already done quite a bit ' of the road, when the dervish said to Dinar : "When we were close to that tree I seemed to feel the smell of honey. It may be that of wild bees have built their hive in the trunk . "
If that is so , " said Dinar , " let us make haste to return there to collect the honey . What we do not eat we can sell it for the journey . " "As you wish ," said the Dervish . When they came within sight of the tree, however , they saw a group of busy travelers to collect an enormous amount of honey. " What luck we had ." exulted . "Here is enough honey to feed an entire city . We were poor pilgrims , but now we can become merchants ! Our future is assured . " Fatih Dinar and then resumed their way. Arrived at the foot of a mountain , they heard a buzzing sound that seemed to come from his side . The dervish glued his ear to the ground. " There are millions of ants who are building their home. This ringing is their cry for help. We are saying, in their language : "Help ! Help us ! We are digging . but we ran into some strange rocks that blocked our way. Help us to dissotterrarle ! "Do you want us to stop to help or would you rather continue without delay ? " . " Brother." replies Dinar , ants and stones do not concern us . The search for the master is my only goal . " "Very well, brother," said the Dervish . " Yet they say that everything is connected . Perhaps there is a connection between this fact and us.
Dinar paid no attention to what the old man murmured , and then continued on their way. When the two travelers stopped for the night, Dinar he realized he had lost the knife . "I 'll have dropped close to the nest ," he said . The next day they returned then retrace their steps . Arrived at the foot of the mountain they found no trace of the knife Dinar . On the other hand , saw muddy people who were resting next to a pile of gold coins . "It's a hidden treasure that we just dug up ," they said . "We were driving along this road , when a frail-looking old dervish has consulted in these terms: " Dig here and you will find what is for some stone and gold for others. "
Dinar cursed his fate . "If only we could have stayed ," whimpered , "you and I would become rich last night , or dervish ! " . The other observed : " The Dervish who accompanies you , stranger , strangely resembles to what we saw last night . " The dervishes are all alike ," said Fatih . Fatih Dinar and continued their journey, and a few days later they reached the bank of a river. The dervish stopped, and both sat waiting for the ferryman . Suddenly they saw a fish out of the water repeatedly , grimacing in their direction. " This fish ," said the dervish , " sends us a message. He says : ' I swallowed a stone. Pick me up and give me to eat grass , so that it can reject and released. Travelers, have mercy on me, please! "
At that moment appeared the ferry, and Dinar , eager to continue , you pushed over the dervish . The boatman was too happy to receive a copper coin was all they could give - and that night Fatih Dinar and slept comfortably on the opposite bank , in the tea house that he had built a charitable soul in that place for travelers. The next morning, while they were sipping their tea , they were joined by the boatman . The previous night had been the most successful of all his life , he told them , the pilgrims had brought him luck. He kissed the hands of the venerable dervish and asked his blessing. " You deserve it all, my son ," said Fatih . The boatman had become rich , and that's what happened . The night before he was returning home at the usual time , when he saw the two men on the other side and had decided , in spite of their apparent poverty , to make an additional trip to Baraka , the blessing given to those who help the traveler. Later, as he prepared to moor the boat, he saw a fish jump on the shore. It looked like he was trying to swallow a blade of grass. After the ferryman had slipped the grass in his mouth , the fish had thrown a rock and he had let slip into the water . The stone was a huge diamond without blemish , of incomparable light and of inestimable value. "You are a devil ," cried the furious Dinar dervish . " You knew the existence of these three treasures thanks to a hidden power of perception , and you did not say anything at the moment ! Is this the behavior of a true companion ? My misfortune was already sufficient, but without you I would not even know anything about the possibilities hidden in the trees, in nests and fish , and who knows where else yet . " No sooner had he uttered these words , feel like a mighty wind spazzargli soul. At that moment he knew that the truth was exactly the opposite of what he had said. The dervish , whose name means Victorious King , touched his shoulder lightly and smiled : " NOW , BROTHER, WILL KNOW TO BE ABLE TO LEARN THROUGH EXPERIENCE . I AM ONE WHO IS THE HIDDEN ORDER OF THE MASTER " .
When Dinar dared to raise his head , saw his master go with a small group of travelers who were discussing the dangers awaiting them along the way. Today, the name of Malik Dinar figure among those of the greatest dervishes as a companion and example, as the Man Who Has Arrived .
Note: Malik Dinar was one of the old masters Classics . The Victorious King of the story is an incarnation of the " higher functions of the mind" , which Rumi calls " the Human Spirit " and that man must cultivate before they can act in an enlightened way . This version is attributed to Emir El - Arifin .
